Happy New Year (and a Happy New decade too)! I’m so grateful to once again be partnering with you to positively impact young lives across Queensland in 2020.
Good things are ahead – and I’m looking forward to every minute of it.
This term marks the beginning of a new round of chaplaincy funding. For some of you, it will mark the beginning of a new chaplaincy service, for others, you will continue to support and grow your existing service for the benefit of your young people and the wider school community.
It truly does take a village to raise a child – and you are that village. From the chaplains to the local chaplaincy committees, to the chaplaincy volunteers, to the school principals, guidance officers and other support staff, the teachers, the parents and the local community, we all play our part so that our children can feel supported in their times of need.
As we head into a new year full of new possibilities, I want to thank you for all you will do this year to not only support your chaplains in their role, but for the direct role you also have in shaping and supporting the next generation of world-changers.
I look forward to sharing more news with you throughout the year. But for now, I wish you every success and thank you again for the opportunity to partner with you for another year.
Bless you,
Peter James
